Pantone Color Of The Year 2017

It's no secret that green has been a huge color in 2016; from wedding bouquets to greenery on tablescapes and throw pillows. If you were to take a quick look around my house you would currently see lots of this trendy color. I found the cutest green mason jars with copper lids (hello, Target!) that have, you guessed it, bouquets of green ruscus in them at all times. My woven rug from Crate & Barrel had green fabric woven throughout, not to mention it's Christmas time so the tree and garland is up all over! I love it. When we started to decorate our apartment and buy items that I knew I would want to keep for a long time, the two colors I decided on were copper and green. I love that we will be seeing so much more of this color in unique places - it can often be unexpected but adds a fresh look to any outfit or room.

In 2017 we will be seeing green in a whole new way. Last week Pantone disclosed the color of the year for 2017, and among some strong contestants GREENERY was the winner. Greenery represents a fresh start, bringing the outdoors inside, and adds fresh brightness to otherwise sometimes drab wardrobes. Greenery is called "nature's neutral", it symbolized growth and positivity. In the year to come, expect to see greenery takeover home decor, weddings, walls, food and fashion.
