Fresh Blooms & Fresh Brew
I love Saturdays! When I have the day off to relax, make breakfast and drink coffee, watch a little TV and get cozy on the couch - there is nothing better! Our apartment is coming together, but the living room is the one space that is moving along pretty fast! We got our big grey corner couch from Costco, and I love that the grey color is a neutral because its easy to mix with everything. The colors we are going with are all pretty neutral (until I can decide which accent color I like haha!) so I am enjoying playing with textures. We've got a natural wood coffee table, a soft cream rug and pillows to match, distressed wooden TV stand, and lots of mixed metals; copper, gold, silver, and brass. Because our home is still a work in progress, here's a peak at our coffee table!
We got these ADORABLE "Hubby & Wifey" mugs from one of my best friends as a wedding gift, and they just instantly became our favorites. These Creative Co-Op mugs are big and sturdy, they hold a full cup of coffee which I looveee because I feel like a lot of time coffee mugs are so tiny?! These are perfect. Creative Co-Op also makes this gorgeous pitcher, which I have used as a vase for these pretty hydrangeas but will also use for drinks on our table (when we get a dining room table.. HA). I love that pitchers and vases are so synonymous with each other!
This wooden table was one I found at Value Village and it caught my eye because it looked like something from West Elm or Restoration Hardware, but was only $10. DEALS. I sanded down the top and gave it that two-tone look which I am loving! These personalized slate coasters are from Nordstrom, and you obviously need them too because coasters are SO handy and SO necessary. Just because it's a coffee table doesn't mean it needs to have coffee stains on it, am I right?! They've got a velvet square on the bottom to keep them from scratching the surface, and besides that they are trendy, cute, and work well with my grey couch!
