Denim Refresh With Old Navy

Bre Sheppard Old Navy Denim Refresh - Fall Style

When I worked in retail a few years ago, we had to dress stylish but professional, and was in a work environment where I was always moving around. If we wore denim, it always had to be dark blue or black. I would wear through my dark denim super fast because I was always moving around and walking, bending down or climbing ladders, and wearing them out. I got really tired of spending a lot of money on new jeans every few months, especially living on that fresh out of college salary haha! #ballinonabudget I was looking for ways to cut costs and save money, while still looking professional and well dressed as I was pursuing my career at the time. At the time, I remembered shopping at Old Navy with my mom when I was in high school; we would go late at night on Fridays and just stroll the store looking for good deals and cute finds haha.

So as a twenty-something year old looking to find some good quality clothes at a budget friendly price, I went to Old Navy. I remember buying at least 5 pairs of the Rockstar Skinny jeans from Old Navy one night because I needed to completely refresh and replace all of my denim. I bought them in black, several dark wash, and a few of their light distressed washes too. I wore those jeans out until I didn’t work that job anymore haha! I loved that they were high-waisted (this was riiight as that trend was coming back in), stayed up all day long, and fit really well. I actually shared my finds with so many people, customers would buy go to Old Navy and buy them too!

Flash forward to this year, and all of a sudden Old Navy is popping up everywhere with all of the cutest clothes. I have always loved that their clothing caters to SO many women; lots of inclusive sizes and flattering fits. They recently relaunched all of their denim with one consistent Rockstar fit. They took that same amazing, curvy, fits-in-all-the-right-places style and made it as the base for all of their denim. All of their denim features great stretch with shape retention that won’t get saggy on your buns!

That same Rockstar fit now comes in Old Navy's 4 new styles:

  • Power Straight

  • Rockstar Super-Skinny

  • Pop-Icon Skinny

  • Kicker Bootcut

Old Navy is challenging consumers to come in-store and try on Old Navy’s new universally-flattering Rockstar fit in their four new styles. With their fresh take on washes & curve enhancing fabric, they are taking all of the things we love most about their classic Rockstar fit and applying it to every cut of denim! The original Rockstar jeans are known for their sexy curved waistband, perfectly placed pockets, curve hugging fabric, which is why the fit is so spot on! They are so excited about how happy your butt is going to be about, these new jeans that they are declaring September to be Butt Appreciation Month haha and you can follow along on @oldnavy for all the “rear-view fun”!

When I was looking on Old Navy’s site to purchase some denim, I scrolled for probably an hour haha just looking at all of the cute clothes they have out for Fall right now. There are seriously SO many options. I love that their site is easy to navigate and shop from. They also are still an extremely inclusive brand; having tall and short sizes as well as curvy fits. When you are shopping for jeans they actually show the denim on two different model sizes. I find this extremely helpful as someone who is NOT a size 0, to see exactly what the fit and cut will look like on someone with some more curves. I really appreciate that they are making both of those women feel loved and seen.

What I found maybe most appealing personally was that they have a lot of styles that look similar to brands that are much more expensive! I was getting major Fall vibes from this long wool jacket that I believe was under $50 on sale when I bought it - what a steal! I ordered at least 7 items and I think my cart came to just over $200. Not to mention, they are constantly having sales and clearance where you can always score items for even less. We love a bargain queen! You can shop everything I purchased & am wearing in this post below.

Thank you to Old Navy for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions and styling are my own. #sponsored
