Kyte Baby Faves

high quality baby basics

We have been using Kyte baby onesies and sleep sacks since Taya was just a newborn, and I continue to buy their products because they are such great quality. Probably my favorite item from Kyte baby is the sleep sack - this is what Taya uses every night & for her naps. I purchased the 1 TOG (which is designed for temperatures of 69° to 73°F). There is a lighter sleep sack that is rated .5 on the TOG scale, so it is perfect if you live in a warmer climate. They also make a thicker 2.5 TOG sleep sack for cooler temperatures. These are made from rayon and bamboo. This is what we swapped Taya’s into around three months old, when she started showing signs of rolling and could no longer be in a swaddle. Not only did these have really great color options, but they are a practical and convenient way to keep your child cozy & comfortable while they sleep without blanket. Taya’s currently wears the size medium which is 6-18 months, she is 17 months and pretty long for her age and it still seems to fit. I just bought three more in the next size up, which is size 18mo to 3 years, which I think will fit her even better since it will have more room for the legs. I like to have 2 or 3 on hand to swap out if she leaks through her diaper or one gets dirty.

my favorite picks

I also really love their long and short sleeve bodysuits; they have the softest material compared to like a really thick cotton. They make for great layering pieces under sweatshirts, overalls, or tucked in with joggers or pants. Like I said she’s been wearing these since she was born and I am really impressed with the quality. She is currently in 18 to 24 months and I would say they run true to size but not as stretchy as Little Sleepies if you are familiar with that brand. Like I said earlier she’s only 17 months old and the 18 to 24 month sizing is just about a perfect fit - but it’s definitely not oversized. Everything has a really great stretch to it so even if it fits snug it’s still sort of grows with them for a couple months which is great. However I would recommend sizing up so they last longer!

The two styles of onesies they have are either Footies or Rompers. The Footies are more designed for the first few months of the babies life, when their hands and feet might need to be covered while they sleep so they don’t scratch themselves or get cold. We’ve sort of always preferred the rompers, because she doesn’t love her feet covered. She still can fit in the 18 to 24 month sizing currently, but the rompers go up to size 6T which is awesome for years to come. They have no feet, they do have hand covers that are optional, and they have a really easy to easy two way zipper for diaper changes. They are also that same bamboo rayon material, and can be worn either for sleep or for daytime. One reason I love them is that they are sort of like one outfit in one because of how cute they look. They don’t really look like pajamas when you put sneakers on with it haha - an easy outfit for a comfy day!

* For washing these, I try to wash together with like items on cold. I do dry in the dryer, just minimal heat if I remember!
