Honey Brunette Hair

I’ve always talked about doing a darker hair color, but growing up with naturally blonde hair & dyeing my hair blonde the past eight years or so, it’s always felt like I’m just such a blondie at heart haha. I have been doing a darker root the past few times I’ve had my hair done, because I love it how the grow out is not as harsh, and it just feels like a more natural hair color for me. So I think going from the bright blonde to this honey brunette/bronde (brunette/blonde) color was pretty seamless because of that choice to do a darker root the past few times I’ve had my hair colored. My hair has always pulled bright blonde really easily, and being blonde pretty much my whole life I feel like the color will begin to fade pretty quickly - my hairstylist recommended coming back in January for a retouch. I think the maintenance overall will be a lot less than my blonde hair.. and it feels really healthy too! I also stopped using purple shampoo since going darker and I love the natural warmth it gives to the color instead of a white-blonde look that I had for so many years.

I have listed the color formula from my hair below! We definitely wanted something that pulled warmer & looked natural without going too dark. We kept the front pieces brighter because I love the pop of blonde - although it is not nearly as bright as it was before, I think it gives a really nice face framing color and warmth. We also trimmed off about 3 inches just to give it a nice clean cut, and she always dusts my front framing pieces as well. I really love how this color turned out especially for fall and winter! I think I could even go a little bit warmer & darker and I would still love it, but I really think the warmth of this color is what makes it work so well for me, in some lights it has a auburn undertone. Being such a bright blonde my whole life and it’s definitely a huge change for me, but I am loving it!
