Wavy Crimped Hair With A Straightener

This hairstyle has been a go-to for me for a couple years now, and I especially love it when my hair is feeling dirty, but I think I can take it one day longer before washing it. Of course, you could use easily a crimper or a waiver for this style as well, but I want to show how easy it is to use a straightener to get the same look. You can use a straightener for a lot of different styles, and I think it’s really cool to use one tool several different ways.

I have a T3 1” straightener; I’ve had this straightener for probably five years now and it’s honestly held up really well. I don’t really have any complaints about it other than I feel like it has a little bit of hairspray and hair product dried to it because I’ve had it for so long haha. But I would recommend it to someone who is looking for one as well.

I do think a thinner straightener gives a better and deeper crimp for this look! You just want to make sure that you’re keeping the straightener moving & not holding it in one place for too long. Another tip for this look is that you want to start with the heat of your straightener on medium. Don’t go too hot at first, but you can definitely work your way up hotter if you feel like it’s not holding the wave in your hair. If you deal with dry ends, or your hair is really dry, or feeling frizzy, of course use a heat protectant, and you could also use some styling cream at the end to smooth the ends of your hair as well. I typically braid the front pieces and attach with his little clear hair ties. It’s really easy and a pretty quick hairstyle, overall, but it looks cute and fun, and also keeps your hair out of your face.
