What is SK-II Pitera Essence Facial Treatment?

The story behind the Pitera Essence is actually super interesting and cool! The product is from Japan and contains 90% of the active ingredient PITERA™. Pitera is exclusive to SK-II and was discovered after scientists noticed that the hands of sake brewers looked much younger than their faces. The Essence has vitamins + amino/organic acids + minerals that react with skin to help hydrate and improve skin texture. It is not a serum and not a toner, rather a lightweight liquid that you pat into your skin to apply. This is the one product your skin needs to stay clean, clear, and even skintone.

How & When To Apply

What does this product do?

With use over time this product can help smooth skin texture (I feel like just a week and a half in I am already seeing this I swear!), firm skin, reduce fine lines caused by dryness, even skin tone and help skin become less oily. The two things I am noticing is that after applying, even after I put on moisturizer my face is not oily. It is hydrated but it feels like overall it is much less oily in my T-zone and chin specifically.

How & when do you apply?

Drop about 3-5 drops into your hands, press your hands together and pat into your face lightly. It will absorb quickly. Apply this after your face is cleansed and exfoliated, before you apply moisturizer.

Yes! With all skincare/beauty products I aim to have a completely honest opinion, whether something is sponsored or I am sharing on my own dime. I hope that more than anything you have learned about a new product and skincare brand that you may not have heard of before. I am super exited to continue using this product & to see if weeks/months from now I can continue to see changes it is making to my skin. I do think that with any skincare product it often takes consistent weeks and months of using them to see a difference. With this specific product I am really excited because there are actually thousands of reviews online that all say that they love love this product. And that is always exciting to add something into your routine that has amazing reviews!
