Christmas is now just a few days away - crazy right?! No judgement if you haven’t bought all your gifts yet haha I promise that is probably more common than you think! I am in the same boat as you. I actually know some people who wait until after Christmas to even start shopping because that is when all of the amazing sales happen! Quality & Function Meet Fashion
I know I have shared this before, but it always seems to surprise people when they find out that Matt actually picks out his own clothes & has his own sense of style that is SO him! Most people assume that because I love fashion I would pick his clothes out, but he actually is pretty opinionated in what he wears haha which I LOVE - I am the same way! There are definetly several brands that we agree have great style, and one of the brands we both love is Cole Haan.
When Matt first starting working in finance right out of college he bought his first official “fancy” pair of work shoes and the brand was Cole Haan. Over the years as his style has changed and evolved a lot. Most of the of brands he used to wear just don’t fit his style now. But this is one of the brands that seems to grow and evolve with time & trends. I appreciate shoes that are good quality and made to last, and even just the fact that one pair of work shoes from when he got his first job lasted him several years is so impressive to me. I love that! Especially is something is a little pricier or seems like more of an investment, it should last.

We got Matt this jacket two weeks ago (NOW on major sale for under $100!!!) and he can’t stop talking about how GOOD it is; the quality, material, fit and style are so perfect for him. It can be really hard to find things that fit in a tailored and slim way when you are 6’ 5” and shopping for clothes can be he most annoying thing for him. Oftentimes things get sent back. Totally normal, but still frustrating when it takes forever to find a good fit. I am completely honest when I say literally everything we have ordered from Cole Haan is GREAT quality and a great fit. Personally we both think everything runs true to size. I take a medium & Matt is always an XL.
If you are still looking to do some shopping, just tell whoever you are gifting these items to that the gift is worth the wait haha you will get it right after Christmas! Just in time for Winter; layering vests and jackets, coats, boots and sneakers, or even work shoes like Matt’s favorite pair from years ago. I am all about what's in trend and finding “fashionable” items, but overall quality really beats out anything else. Knowing you are paying for something that is high quality & made well AND made to last is so important!
