Sherpa Ugg Tazz: Sizing & Styling

This is a new style of Ugg slippers that came out at the end of summer - it has the same silhouette as the Ugg Tazs slipper that was super popular last year (and this year as well) but it has a fuzzy sherpa outside. The platform & the fur on the outside do make the shoe look a little bit bulky, but they are actually super comfortable, very warm, and I think you can wear them so many ways. You can refer back to this blog post where I style my Ugg shoes for fall and winter, for a reference on how you could wear these as well. This style has gone in and out of stock quite a bit the last couple weeks, so I’m not sure if it is a style that will come back next year like the original Tazz did, but I am really loving this updated look and I think it is a super cute new take on the trend.

I was able to try these on in store so I could get a really good accurate idea for sizing. I am between a 7 1/2 and an 8 in shoes, and I always buy a size 8 in Ugg. A lot of people suggest to size down but I always find that staying with your true size or sizing up half if you’re in between is a more comfortable fit. The fur inside the boot will matte down a little bit over time and give you more room, but I wouldn’t bank on that when you’re buying the shoe. When you first put it on, especially with a thicker sock, it should fit comfortably and not to stock. In this new sherpa style I tried on both the size 8 and size 9. Although the 9 looks like a larger shoe, and it’s a little bit more bulky and clunky, I like the overall fit of it better with a thick sock. If you’re looking to just wear these around the house and don’t plan to wear them outside or don’t plan to wear them with socks, you could stick with your true size and only go up if you’re in between sizes. But I am typically a 7 1/2 or eight and I ended up purchasing the nine in the style.
