I married my husband Matt in February of 2016. He was my big brother’s cute friend that I had a crush on - little did I know what it would lead to! I met him just before my senior year of high school and we dated all through college. We got engaged a few months after I graduated, and married shortly after. We both grew up in the Pacific Northwest, near Seattle, and have lived our whole lives here. We enjoy taking road trips and going on walks - with a coffee in hand of course! Matt has always supported my blog and was in fact one of the first people I told when I wanted to start it years ago. Whether it’s cooking, simply watching our favorite tv show, or traveling together, we are so grateful for over 12 years of memories together.
On December 1st of 2020 we welcomed our baby girl, Taya, to our family! We mostly call her Tayter or Buggie, so if you hear us saying those names, we are referring to her ha! She adds so much joy and laughter to our lives; and keeps us really busy. I love sharing her fun personality. I have learned so much while being a mom and I love sharing about this new season of life! Whether it’s life lessons or sharing the products we’re using while raising her, you can be sure I’ll keep you posted on the latest.
I started my blog and website in 2014 while in college at Western Washington University as an outlet for sharing my style & beauty finds. At that same time I also began using Instagram & sharing little squares of my daily life. I graduated college in 2015 with a degree in Communication and worked in Nordstrom’s Lingerie department for three years after. I always thought I wanted to be a buyer at Nordstrom, but ultimately realized it was not the career path for me. I decided to change jobs to work a more consistent schedule at a “9-5”, getting a job working in Sports Merchandising. I was here for just under a year, but knew right away it was not a great fit for me personally. It taught me a lot about working hard & also revealed to me what I really wanted to do.. work full time on my blog! After working for four years at a daytime job & coming home at night to work for hours on my side hobby, I decided to take the leap to take it full time. It’s been about 4 years now & although my life has changed so much, I still love sharing my life & daily style with you.
Thank you so much for being here & following along!
