Welcome summer!

Hi friends! With Summer literally RIGHT around the corner (I can not believe it is almost half way thru June) I thought I would share with you some of my Summer must-haves this year! During the Summer I am ALL about easy, casual and quick style (pretty much am this same way all year around). I love to find products that work well & don't take long to master, and clothing that fits & feels good the first time you try it on. Today I am dishing on my favorite beauty products (and hosting a little GIVEAWAY to share them with one of you!), sharing details on this outfit, talking about the best denim shorts ever & giving you tips on why SPF is going to be your BFF this Summer!

1. Skinesque 3 Step Face Mask: The start to any fresh face begins at clean, hydrated skin! I love these Skinesque masks because they are super hydrating and refreshing. The 3 step process is simple enough, but also really impactful and cleans your skin before hydrating and clearing out blackheads with the masks! Use weekly to keep your skin looking and feeling it's best!

2. Urban Decay Petite Heat Palette: Been completely obsessed with this mini pallet since I got it several months ago! It has all the colors you need to create so many looks; from fresh and bright, to darker or bold red. I love that the palette is based on the color RED since I love a peachy look to my everyday makeup routine, this color has just worked perfectly for that added pop of eyeshadow. It's the perfect portable sixe for extra color on the go this summer!

3. Maybelline Matte Lipstick: This lipstick is one I was first introduced to by @makeupwithme_ who did my wedding day makeup! During my makeup trial, she was sharing with my cousin & I all about these amazing drugstore products that she has just found and was loving. This was one of them! I immediately left and bought it and ended up wearing it on my wedding day! It is so soft, goes on smooth, and is really a great peachy nude for so many skin types.

4. Elf Cosmetics Baked Highlighter: I have used this highlighter for years; in fact, it is the first highlighter I ever bought when I was started to try to grow my makeup collection. I have literally loved it since. It is SO pigmented and shimmery, and blends so well into my skin. I love adding highlight down my nose and on my cheekbones to give that Summery glow! I love the Peach color and the Blush Gems for an added warm glow!

Wether you see sun damage or not, our skin in constantly getting beat up by the sun! From daily exposure, to those long Summer days where all we do is soak up the sun, it is always effecting our skin. You might think that if you escaped a day in the sun without a sunburn you are good, however sun damage is not always visible in everyday light! Adding products to your beauty routine is a really important step to protect your skin. I love using ItCosmetics CC cream as my lightweight foundation because it gives great coverage and because of the SPF my face is covered every day! There are lots of other moisturizer you could use underneath your favorite foundation; a super simple yet effective step in your beauty routine!

Okay but can we talk about these DENIM SHORTS for a few minutes?! Ladies, if you are like me, you probably hate shopping for jean shorts more than just about anything. They just can't seem to get the fit right.. everything is either way too long (Bermuda shorts, ick) or WAY too short and things are hanging out that we definitely know shouldn't be! Not to mention some are so low rise they feel more like a belt than jeans, or too HIGH where you're buttoning them up under your bra haha!

Alright so I first purchased these jeans last year Nordstrom & honestly fell in love at the store right after trying them on. The fit was just what I was looking for; not too high-waisted, not to long, and didn't ride up when I was walking. Perfect!! When the inseam is more than 1" I call it a success haha it seems like every pair of shorts these days is like major MINI and tiny, which works for some people but not a look I personally love! I had to go back and get a 2nd pair this year to make sure they were the same fit.. and once again, perfection! If you have ever struggled to find a great fitting pair of jean shorts you have to try these out! And the best part is they are only $55 - what a deal! I love that they are high enough I can wear a little cropped shirt like this "Honey" tee with them, but not so high where I feel uncomfortable when I sit down.

I mean, have I every talked this much about one thing before haha?! These are seriously THAT good, sorry for my rambling but I honestly love them so much. I would say they run TTS; I got a US 6 and they fit great! TopShop does tends to run slightly small however, so if you are usually in between sizes I would size up as they will shrunk a tiny bit in the wash (100% cotton).
