Garden Party Baby Shower
decorations
Since my theme for this party was Garden Party, I wanted to keep the colors bright and fresh. My friend Jac is having a baby girl, but loves shades of blue over pink, so I opted to keep the main colors (plates, napkins) blue and white (balloon arch) and add in some more “girly” elements with the flowers. I ended up buying most of the flowers from Trader Joe’s the day before! I know they tend to have a great selection of greenery and flowers. There is also one of those flower tents at a gas station nearby our house that has incredible flowers - I ended up finding a lot of funky unique flowers there. I also bought dried flowers from Etsy that were pink, purple, and blue, so that I could make sure there were specific colors I wanted in the bouquets I made.
Eating
+ Plates (bought from Etsy)
+ Napkins
+ Forks & Knife (Amazon find - so cute)
+ Cups (bought 2 packs here)
Decor
+ Candlesticks
+ Taper candles
+ Wood cutting board
+ Serving trays for food

Flowers
Stick with a color theme for the flowers. And keep the vases all clear glass, so even though they are unique sizes and styles, they are cohesive. We bought buckets from Home Depot to hold the flowers while we travelled up to the location of the party.
+ Greenery
+ Different colors of tulips
+ Dried colored flowers (etsy) to add pops of specific color
+ Glass vases in varying sizes
I made my own bouquets on the day of! I have always enjoyed making bouquets & find it a great way to be creative and add your own touch. You can save a little money as well but creating bouquets yourself with flowers from the grocery store, rather than hiring a florist.

EASY CAPRESE SALAD
I made this super easy play on caprese salad, and it turned out soo good! I basically bought everything for the shower from Trader Joe’s - so you can find all of these items there. It’s just 3 ingredients: cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and the marinated fresh mozzarella balls. Basically you will just chop each of these items up really small (the cheese I cut in I/2 then I/2 again) and mixed together! I let it set in a tupperware overnight and it was so delicious. Easy to prep the night before.
TIP: Buy fresh rosemary sprigs to help decorate the charcuterie board & keep it looking fresh. Also, if you are on a time crunch for the day of, prep your veggies by washing and cutting them the night before & sealing in a tupperware.
