Nurse 'Thank You' Baskets
what is a Nurse Basket?
I saw several girls make something called a nurse basket & so I took the idea as well and I was really happy about how they turned out! They are basically baskets that you leave in your room for any of the nurses & hospital staff to grab things from as a small thank you to them. In my nurse baskets I put some of my fave moisturizer, my favorite eye balm which helps you feel awake and gives a little glow to your under eyes, as well as iced coffee and some snacks. Things like beef jerky, fruit snacks, candy bars, gum, iced coffee and anything else you think nurses might want as they’re coming in to your room all day and night long. It’s a really simple way to say thank you for all the ways that they help you & for helping bring your baby into the world! There actually quite a bit more nurses than I initially thought there would be, so packing as much as you can is helpful. Not only are there nurses who help you through labor but there are also postpartum nurses, as well as the Doctor who helps with the end of labor/pushing + nurses to make sure you’re breast-feeding is going OK.
