UV LIGHT: SHOP HERE
+ 24watts
+ compact/lightweight
+ plugs in to outlet
I personally love this UV light because it doesn’t have a base, you can set it on any surface, which also makes it the perfect light for doing gel on your toes. It also has amazing reviews & there are some people who even use it in their salon. I found this was the best option for affordable price/high reviews.
GEL POLISH: SHOP HERE
+ comes in pack of 22 shades
+ a rainbow of bold pastel colors
+ base/top coat included
Each polish is 8oz so a bit smaller than a typical bottle but the colors are GORGEOUS & selection of shades is amazing. They also have great reviews & look like they will last at least a week + were easy to apply and some only needed one coat since they were so pigmented!
application
+ For this specific combination I started with clean dry nails. I like to give myself a little at home manicure, cut the cuticle & file them down. The smoother and more clean they are the better the polish will adhere and last longer.
+ I like to start with one hand at a time! I started by applying one layer of the base coat to just my left hand & set nails under the UV light for 90 seconds.
+ Pick out your colors and use one coat of polish on each nail. Put your hand under the UV light for 90 more seconds. They MAY appear to be “sticky” after this step, but will cure with the top coat so just do not touch them or pick at them until ALL the steps are complete!
+ Next up is a 2nd coat of polish & 90 more seconds under the UV light.
+ The top coat is the final coat after color. After this is applied put your hand under the UV lights for 120 seconds (2min) to cure.
+ For me this was the PERFECT time for everything to set! After the top coat & light everything was dry and hardened and not sticky or soft at all!
Reviews online say this UV light should work with ANY gel polish you buy, just read the instructions for your specific gel polish for how many seconds to go for under the light! If you buy this specific combo, just follow my steps and it should turn out great Xx
