Recent Amazon Home Finds
The past month or so I can NOT stop scrolling Amazon and hunting for home pieces! I feel like right now they really have so many affordable, trending, and traditional pieces. I sort of feel like in the past they have not had as many options for the “transitional“ home style, but I love that I am finding so many pieces that match my home style. One of my favorite ways to decorate is with interesting vases, glassware, or stacking books. There are so many recipe books out right now that are not only functional - but also have beautiful covers that can double easily as decorative pieces.
Instead of just purchasing something to sit on a shelf, you can think about how it is also functional. For example you could use a vase to fill a gap on an empty shelf, but it could also be functional for filling with flowers. I think that can help your home feel less cluttered & more decorated with pieces that you will actually use and enjoy. I’ve put this idea to practice in our kitchen by layering cutting boards behind the stove. I love the way that they look layered together, but it is also practical because we can still use them whenever we need them. I love a lot of these pieces because I feel like they will work in many home styles, they are affordable, and they seem really unique. I purchased the black cutting board & it is really pretty in person; I love the soft matte black color. I also have the shallow dark wood bowl - it actually sits on our TV stands and holds our remotes! Which is, once again, super practical but cute at the same time. Of course you can’t go wrong with stack of books with a piece of pottery on top, especially when decorating a small space but wanting to make a big impact with how are you decorating.
