Summer Blues

If it isn't clear yet.. I love hats! This floppy black hat goes great with any outfit, seriously. It is one of my favorite pieces to style and I think everyone should have one.

I found this button up dress shirt at a thrift store and immediately loved it. The sleeves are detailed with small gold buttons and scallop lacy ends that mimic the scallop cut of my shorts. The double collar is unique & girly, and the pattern of the silk shirt is subtle enough that it can be worn with bold shorts. Turquoise and black are a match made in fashion heaven (see below post), so touches of black compliment the shorts nicely.

I like how this outfit is loose and flows, but since both the high waisted shorts and the shirt are flowy, tucking in the top gives a little more shape.
