Nordstrom Fall 2015 Designer Preview
Last night was the most insane, amazing night EVER!! As an Intern with Nordstrom, we got to attend the Nordstrom Designer Preview, which is a huge fashion showcase of all the biggest designers upcoming Fall 2015 trends. This year Nordstrom partnered with Vogue Magazine and the Seattle Art Museum at Pier 91 in Seattle to host the event. Some of the designers who's collections were on the runway included Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Valentino, Stella McCartney, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy. There were also up and coming designers that Nordstrom was releasing as brand new to the fashion scene. I literally had tears in my eyes when the models in Valentino walked out haha, the clothes are stunning and I had never seen anything like it! The runway consists of samples only, making it the most exclusive and high-end couture pieces in fashion today. Fashion show attendees are able to pre-order pieces that they want to be made for them, and will be sent them as soon as their orders are made by the designers. After the fashion show I got to walk through the trunk show and look through all the clothes that were on the runway and let me tell you.. they are beautiful! There is nothing quite like seeing a designers first samples a whole season before they are even up for sale.
Special guests included, but were definitely not limited to, the Nordstrom family, Gene Juarez himself, Blaire Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific, Wendy Nyugen of Wendy's Lookbook, and my ALL TIME favorite bloggerr Cara Loren! These ladies have each changed the fashion game in their own ways; teaching women how to find their personal style and sticking to their own unique looks. I was able to get the opportunity to talk to all three of them and can not say enough good things about them. Beautiful, intelligent, fashionable, and so KIND, I am huge fans of these women and couldn't agree more with Nordstrom for having them be spokeswomen for the brand.
Nordstrom Designer Preview was definitely the highlight of my Nordstrom Internship thus far, and I look forward to seeing those amazing pieces on the bloggers I love the most! Such a wonderful experience!
