New Year's Eve Couple Style
Bre’s Sparkle Dress
+ I bought this dress originally to wear for my birthday in April, so it was fun to be able to wear a second time and get good use out of it. The beaded details are perfect for a party! I was between a M and L on the size chart, opted for a L, and I think it was a good choice. The beading all over the dress does not stretch and there is not stretch across the butt either - if you are typically between I would go up a size for this reason. I also sewed the front up about two inches! When I wore it on my birthday I thought it was just a little bit too low cut, so I bought this little sewing kit on Amazon to sew the front together a bit. It still is a really gorgeous dress just less revealing haha. Length is great and the details are really beautiful. I did have some beads fall off since the last time I wore it, but I think I could have stored it better in my luggage after wearing in Nashville in April!
Platform Heels
+ I have been looking at this style pf platform heels for some time, and the price point on these was just what I hoped for. They are a similar look to a much more $$ silky platform heel! I typically size up 1/2 in heels to give a little bit of room around my toes and these fit perfectly. They also come in hot pink which I am seriously debating haha. The little closure detail is silver with sparkles on it - even more gorgeous in person. I found them pretty comfy to walk in for 6+ hours.
Dangle Earrings
+ These are actually from Amazon! The quality is so good for just $13 and I honestly think they look better than some designer pieces. They. hang really lightly & have great movement. Perfect costume jewelry for an event like a NYE party.
Matt’s Suit Jacket
+ We found this at Nordstrom in the Topman department, it was one of the last sizes they had in store and they happened to have Matt’s size. He wears a 46 without any extra tailoring. A suit jacket from a “trendy” brand like this is a great option if you want a dressy look without having to pay $$ for a custom fit suit jacket & pants.
Black Knit Sweater
+ This one is a splurge because Matt has gone through so many black sweaters over the past few years and I feel like they always pill or get stretched around the neck. This one is gorgeous and soft, fits true to size (he is in a XXL) and is actually very warm too. Great for layering under a jacket for a more “fancy” look or wearing with jeans.
