Styling Ugg Shoes For Fall
Wearing Ugg slippers/boots in the Fall & Winter is one of my favorite fashion trends that has come around the past two years - and is continuing into this Fall. I wore Ugg boots back in high school - honestly have loved them since - so it’s fun to find new ways to style them years later. I have had people ask if the shoes are designed to be worn outside, I think because the soul is so sturdy it definitely lens itself to be worn either inside or outside. If you are worried about weather effecting the suede, you can definitely waterproof them with a spray!
My favorite style of Ugg is the platform slipper with the red stitching. This style sold out fast early in the Summer last year but it is back this year which I am super happy about. I also have a variation of this green Ugg from last year, it also sold out really fast so I linked to similar. You can’t go wrong with the classic mini Ugg boot, which is a mix between the higher style and the lower slipper. You can style them all the same!
Styling:
I think typically I think of Ugg shoes being worn with leggings, which to be clear I also love haha cause you can’t beat cozy!! Honestly you can throw them on with any outfit and they give a very casual, cool look. But I’ve also loved to pair them with jeans and find ways to style them that are a little bit more elevated. I love pairing a wide leg jean that falls over the top of the shoe with colorful sweaters, cardigans, and coats. Since they are such a simple shoe you can have fun with how you style them & adding pops of color to your outfit.
Sizing:
As far as sizing goes, I am between a 7 1/2 and an 8, and I always buy an 8 in Ugg. A lot of people recommend buying a size down because although fur in the inside can sometimes mat down to give more room, overall I feel like they are easier to get on + more comfortable when I go up the nearest half size. Ex: If you are a true size 9, I would not size up and just get a true size 9. I also think this fit is better when wearing a sock.
