PICK A BOOK & LET’S READ!

WHAT I’VE READ THIS YEAR:

CURRENTLY READING: THE GIVER OF STARS - Jojo Moyes

A CURVE IN THE ROAD - Julianne MacLean (5/10)
This book was somewhat easy to predict & had a pretty simple storyline. The plot itself is pretty sad; a lot about self discovery, loss and forgiveness. It was not the typical type of read I would go for, but for an easy read it was mildly entertaining with just a few things I did not expect.

WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING - Delia Owens (10/10)
The storytelling & writing in this book is amazing, so descriptive & detailed! I felt like I could picture everything exactly as described. I thought the plot was super interesting & could not put it down once I started reading! It is beautiful, sad at some points, adventurous, and a murder mystery combined in one. Very different than my other reads, but MUST read nonetheless!!

AMERICAN ROYALS - Katharine McGee (8/10)
This book is about a royal family & the struggles/decisions they face in modern times. A “what if” book about if monarchy had continued in the United States. I liked the easy flow of the book overall. It was charming & romantic in some spots, while keeping a bit of suspense and mystery. The end was actually really creative & I think set up the sequel (coming Sept. 2020) perfectly. I will definitely be reading that as well.

IF I’M BEING HONEST - Austin Siegemund-Broka & Emily Wibberley (7/10)
