FAQ pt. 1
FAQ
Q. How do you find time to balance everything (mom, work, personal life) each week?
A. It can be really hard to watch social media & think that everyone has it all together. Remember that Instagram or tiktik is a small portion (maybe even just a a few minutes) of someone's day. We are all trying to balance multiple things & also wear many important hats. I am grateful that Matt and I work together on my blog, which also allows us to be with Taya all day. This also means balancing a toddler and work every day at home.. which has it's own challenges. We are always trying to figure out the balance of shutting off work, alone time with Tay, and alone time with each other. I am not someone to share tantrums or grab my phone to chat about arguments or something we disagree on - I just personally have set a lot of boundaries for what I share online. This sometimes translates online to “having it all together”, when really just small moments are shown. My house gets messy, I get really stressed, and my daughter is not perfect haha. I think the less time you spend comparing yourself to others, the more grace you will have for them & yourself. If you are in a spot where you feel like you are falling behind, stressed out, or overwhelmed - you are doing amazing. Don't let your mind fall into the trap of comparing your season of life to someone else's - they are unique and beautiful in their own ways. Sorry, that was a long reply!
Q. Thoughts on Golden Goose sneakers? Are they “worth” the high cost?
A. These questions are hard to answer for someone else because it would totally depend on your budget + if you even think they are cute ha! I know they are not for everyone, and to be honest I had never liked any pair I had seen until I saw the pair I recently bought. I wanted a pair that was neutral but still had some of the fun sparkle & unique touches I feel like all GG sneakers have, but was not crazy about the styles with a pre-worn look. If they are something you love and have had your eye on, then I will say the leather is extremely comfortable and molds to your foot almost instantly. They are comfortable, unique, and I like that you can dress them up or down. I am super happy with the pair that I bought & love that they are a little unique but can be worn a lot - which is important to me at that price.
Q. What is your go-to meal for dinner?
A.I love to cook (as a preteen I wanted to be a chef & watched way too many hours of Food Network lol) so I do enjoy finding new recipes and trying to have fun with cooking! We cook a lot of steak for salads, pasta with veggies, chicken and rice, etc. Lately we have been cooking Home Chef meals if we have a busy day & need something quick/mindless. Some weeks we cook everything at home, and other times we look back at the week like woah we ate out a lot ha - depends on our schedules. I would suggest following some food accounts on Instagram for inspo too! Two of my faves are @halfbakedharvestand @feelgoodfoodie.
