Garden Party Bridal Shower
Jaclyn and I have been the best of friends for years!
We met in a small group at church while we were still in high school, and have many a million memories over the years together.
Through navigating Freshman year of college together, living with eachother off campus our senior year, relationships, the ups & downs of friendships, and now through engagement and marriage! It's been amazing to see where life has led us & the people we have been led to. Jaclyn was one of my Maids of Honor in my wedding last year, and I was thrilled to be asked to be one of hers in her wedding coming up this August!
Here are some photos of the evening!
For the shower Kailey, my co-MOH and friend, and I decided that a garden party would be so much fun, and perfect for this time of year!
We played off of the natural greenery in my parents backyard, and went with even more greenery on the table. She will be using eucalyptus at her wedding so I thought it would be perfect to add at her shower too!
By adding candles and flowers in pretty vases down the table, it added height and dimention to the overall simple table. Each ladies table setting included a name tag and a macaron. Lady Yum macarons (if you live near Kirkland you HAVE to try them!!) are Jaclyn's absolute favorite treat so we knew they needed to be part of the shower as well.
Since Jaclyn also eats mostly a Paleo diet, dinner was fairly simple. we ate grilled chicken, fruit skewers, watermelon, a "noodle" dish made from zucchini, spinach salad and veggies. Delicious and easy! I love how everything turned out - from the little gold details of the chargers under the plates, to the written sign of their love story.
Of course I had to break out my Letterfolk board and update it for the occasion as well! It's SO easy to celebrate and love on people who are so special. I can hardly wait for the wedding in August!
